She also advises management on employment and wage-related issues and conducts sensitive workplace investigations. In addition, Jessica has successfully represented major retail enterprises in discrimination claims brought by customers under California’s Unruh Act civil rights statute.
Jessica is a member of the National Employment Law Council (NELC) and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA). She co-chairs the planning committee for NELC’s Annual Conference for experienced management-side employment lawyers, and serves on the faculty of the NELC Academy, teaching advanced deposition skills. As an associate, Jessica was chosen three times as a Fellow of the NELC Academy, an advanced skills training program for competitively selected employment defense associates. She has also completed the prestigious Employment Law Trial Institute of the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law.
Jessica received her law degree from UCLA School of Law in 2011. During law school, she volunteered as a Law Clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She performed summer clerkships with Bet Tzedek Legal Services and the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Prior to joining Sanchez Amador & Reyes, Jessica served for five months as a volunteer attorney in the Employment Litigation Unit of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, where she assisted in the defense of the city in employment actions brought by members of the Los Angeles Police Department. She also worked a year as an associate in the Employment Law group of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp.
