Nikki H. Kolhoff has over 24 years of experience representing clients in complex commercial finance transactions. She brings a unique perspective, having worked for both lenders and borrowers, as well as in-house at a bank. Nikki’s current practice focuses primarily on advising secured lenders on the structuring and documenting finance transactions to not only meet the credit and business needs of the lender, but also furthering the operational goals of its customers. Nikki works seamlessly with business, credit, operations, and legal teams to provide creative and practical solutions.
Nikki’s extensive experience includes advising major banks, financial institutions and private equity sponsors as agents and lenders in financial transactions, as well as private equity sponsors and companies as borrowers and issuers of debt, and depository banks in control agreements. She has advised clients across a broad spectrum of industries in a variety of commercial finance transactions, including syndicated and bilateral financings, cross border loans, secured and unsecured lines of credit, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, cash-flow loans, bridge loans, mezzanine loans, and subordinated indebtedness. She has also advised clients in connection with the restructuring of credit facilities.
Nikki began her legal career at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in their Finance and Restructuring Group, and was a Partner in Reed Smith LLP’s Financial Industry Group. She also served as special in-house counsel in Wells Fargo Bank’s Law Department. Prior to law school, Ms. Kolhoff was an environmental consultant at an international environmental services company.
Nikki received her law degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in 2001. She graduated Order of the Coif and was an Articles Editor for the Southern California Law Review. During law school, she served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable A. Howard Matz in the United States District Court, Central District of California. Ms. Kolhoff earned her BA in Biology in 1994 from Yale University, where she was also a member of the Varsity Swim Team.
